We have been lucky enough to invite Aga to CALVEO near Oakham at the Rutland Garden Village for a few days a week, depending on bookings across our treatment rooms as a permanent cosmetic studio.

WHAT IS PERMANENT COSMETICS?
Permanent cosmetic makeup is cosmetic tattooing. This specialized technique is often referred to as “micro-pigmentation,” “micro pigment implantation,” or “dermagraphics.” The cosmetic implantation technique deposits colored pigment into the upper reticular layer of the dermis (second layer of skin), beneath the epidermis (top layer of skin). This technique has been medically developed and specifically designed for a safe, permanent application. The pigments used have been formulated for cosmetic use, not to be confused with traditional tattooing, which uses permanent skin dyes and inks placed into the skin.
WHAT TYPE OF PERMANENT COSMETIC PROCEDURES ARE THERE?
Permanent cosmetic procedures can be dramatic or very subtle depending on what you are looking for. Options can include:

• Scar camouflage, beauty marks, hair imitation, eyelash enhancement, and areola re-pigmentation
Some of the procedures use more advanced techniques (para-medical techniques) and therefore require an experienced technician with advanced training.
WHAT IS SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP?
Semi-permanent make-up is an advanced form of cosmetic tattooing. However, we do not infuse the pigments as deeply into the skin. The results achieved do not have the permanency of a conventional tattoo. The specialized techniques used for semi-permanent make-up are also referred to as permanent cosmetics, permanent make-up, micropigmentation, and cosmetic tattooing.
DOES HAVING PERMANENT MAKEUP HURT?
It's a question we get asked a lot: "Is semi-permanent makeup painful?" or "Is permanent makeup painful?" Most clients say no. "It can feel a bit uncomfortable, yes, but no, it is not painful."
WHAT IS MICROBLADING?
Microblading is a manual method used to deposit a small amount of ink in the superficial layer of the skin. It is considered to be a semi-permanent tattoo, and it lasts for 12-18 months, depending on different factors. You may enjoy your perfect, naturally looking brows for much longer if appropriate maintenance is scheduled every 6-12 months to saturate the pigment, and also, little corrections to the shape may be made.

HOW MUCH DOES SEMI-PERMANENT MAKEUP COST?

All our costs are listed above on this page. Prices start from £285 for eyelash enhancements to £395 for lips or bows treatments. HOW LONG IS THE PERMANENT MAKEUP RECOVERY TIME OR HEALING TIME AFTER TREATMENT?
No time at all. All clients can walk right out the door, ready to show off their new lips or brows. Initially stronger in colour, your new lips or brows will soften to a more natural-looking and beautiful colour in a few weeks.
PERMANENT MAKEUP HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Generally, semi-permanent or tattooed makeup can last up to 12 months with a top-up. Without a top-up, 2-3 months can be expected. Top-ups can be done to maintain the look for as long as you wish.
